“When we built our plant in 2000, we installed a Kinetico water treatment system for nitrate removal. The system never impressed me; it never worked or removed nitrates that well. Washburn Water and Sewer had a nitrate issue a few years later so we invited the Washburn team over to show them what we liked and didn’t like about our system.
Washburn got a Lowry system installed and liked it. We suffered a few more years with our Kinetico system, but ended up contacting Jerry to design a system that gave us hands-on control over the treatment system. We didn’t want the system to be completely SCADA-controlled; we wanted to have that visibility. Jerry Lowry listened to us and built the system we asked for.
The installation process was smooth. Jerry and a small crew showed up on time and went to work. By 5 pm that night, the system was ready to treat water. We were happy that everything went the way we wanted it to go.”
